● Simplicity and DIYability / Low-Tech: The construction elements can be realized in a workshop with limited resources of space and machinery.

● Affordability: Low material requirements and resulting costs.

● Compostability of materials: Materials in use are renewable, recyclable or compostable and do not release pollutants, such as petrochemicals, plastics, etc.

● Availability of materials: Materials in use are easy to find in most parts of the world, wood, screws and insulation material like wool or straw.

● Low impact on the living environment: No concrete foundations are used.

● Incorporating the use of solar energy for heating and electricity into the building design.
